Job Description

Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as an operational leader is a meaningful role. SiS Youth Home Långanäs in Eksjö is now looking for two operational leaders who want to help create a safe environment for our placed youth and our staff.

In the role of operational leader, you are responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside office hours, in the evenings and nights, with the aim of promoting a safe care and work environment. You guide and support your colleagues in their work and ensure that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this means that you are responsible for incident management in alarm situations and take necessary actions after an incident occurs. You communicate noted deficiencies and deviations from routines to the relevant managers. You establish and update safety assessments and make decisions on coercive measures according to LVU, LSU, and LVM in accordance with SiS work and delegation order.

As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo a cross-agency basic training. Before taking on the role of operational leader, you will also receive a training package aimed at you as an operational leader to ensure you have the right conditions to perform your duties.

The working hours will be day, evening, and night. You and your four colleagues will rotate on a five-week schedule where you work two of five weekends.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you are a stable person who remains calm even in stressful situations. You have the willingness and ability to act according to applicable decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

You should also have:

• Relevant higher education such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or another equivalent higher education, or at least a two-year vocational college (treatment pedagogue) along with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
• Several years of experience working within SiS or another organization focusing on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations.
• Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work group.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. Working hours are distributed over days, evenings, and nights.
